Kathryn and Vinnie first connected on social media roughly a year before ever meeting in person. Vinnie had known Kathryn’s brother, Greg, for years but never knew she even existed. He must have put in a good word and they loosely stayed in touch that year. Vinnie took a job in 2017 working in Philadelphia and through the power of social media, realized Kathryn was also working nearby. Conversation started flowing regularly again until they finally had their first date at Two Stones on a Friday night in Hockessin. Vinnie was overwhelmed at how beautiful she was and she was a little in shock that he showed up tipsy after a company kickball game. Regardless, the date went well enough that the interactions became much more frequent. Vinnie then moved to Philadelphia and happened to be right next to Kathryn’s work. It almost felt like destiny at that point as dates in the city became regular occurrences. The two attempted to try every restaurant and bar in Center City and became regulars at Porta and Tradesman’s, their two favorites. After exploring Philadelphia’s midtown village for some time, it was only fitting that Philadelphia became the destination where these two would eventually get engaged. On March 24th, 2019, Vinnie finally mustered up the courage to ask Kathryn to marry him. On their rooftop lounge with Vinnie’s best man and brother, Nick, setting her up for the perfect surprise, she said “Yes.” Their families were all there to celebrate the best Sunday Funday all spring. Roughly two years after that first meeting, they bought their first home together in Delaware (near both of their families) where they are excited to start their new life together. The couple cannot wait to see the two lively families bring their best dance moves to the wedding on May 2nd, 2020. Polish up your dancing shoes because it ought to be an awesome night!
