Great activity for kids, and free admission! This is in a wonderful area of Woods Hole with small town feel, shops, cafes and bars and scenic harbor area.
The local lighthouse is a fun lookout point and landmark to visit in the area. Did you know Terry loves lighthouses?
Kathryn grew up riding her bike to this market from the beach. Great stop for quick groceries, sandwiches, or goodies.
Another favorite of Kathryn's growing up, that Terry came to love as well. Wonderful spot for fresh seafood, and great pizzas & salads. We highly recommends the little neck clams.
This amazing chocolate and ice cream shop is one of the oldest on the Cape and a favorite with locals. Great for kids! And did we mention, they have lobster flavored ice cream?
Whale watching, a favorite of both Kathryn and Terry's while they're up North. Captain John's is the best! Although its about a 45-minute drive from Falmouth, it is well worth it. Reserve your tickets in advance and bring cold weather gear for the open ocean! Fun fact: Kathryn's favorite animals are whales.
Location of the wedding after party, this Irish pub is definitely worth visiting. If you go, you're in for a treat; great food, live Irish music, and cold beers. Liam's is located on Main Street, and is walkable to Inn on the Square and Palmer House.
Rent yourself a bike across from Inn on the Square and pedal down the famous Shining Sea Bike Path to Woods Hole and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard - your bike travels free!
Breakfast! Right in the middle of Main Street, Kathryn and Terry do not come to Cape Cod without a breakfast stop here. You gotta get the grilled blueberry muffin.
A gorgeous landmark which requires a short hike through a winding woodland trail. Fantastic view of charming Quissett Harbor and Buzzards Bay! We highly recommend checking this out.
With a view of Woods Hole Harbor, a lovely place for fun cocktails and drinks. Great views of a busy town and Woods Hole Oceanographic.
See Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Marine Biology Labs, and research vessels that come out. There are many bars, shops, and coffee houses there as well.
This is a charming and really fun restaurant overlooking the Martha's Vineyard Ferry. You can't go wrong here.
At the start of Main Street in Falmouth, this is a favorite art gallery and studio.
A great public beach with calm water. Off-season, it should be pretty open for long beach walks and sunning.
Do you intend to spend some time in the area? Hop on a ferry and head over to one of the Cape Cod islands, Martha's Vineyard.
