Though we had been friends for a few years, our love story truly began our senior year of high school in our Earth & Space science class. Quinn was moved into my science class two weeks into the school year, something unusual that we now believe was fate. We spent a few months getting to know each other better, going on dates, and enjoying our last year of high school together, but soon found ourselves head over heels for each other. A few months later on December 14, 2013, Quinn asked me to be his girlfriend on a hayride at Santa’s Wonderland. And the rest is history.
After high school graduation, Quinn headed to the University of Texas while I chose to spend my collegiate years dancing at Texas Christian University as a member of the TCU Showgirls. After 4 years of cheering on each other's teams (except when they played each other), I knew our last rivalry football game as students would be memorable. But I would’ve never guessed just how special it would be! When Quinn told me our friends from Austin would all be traveling down to Fort Worth for the weekend I was a little suspicious, but didn’t think much of it since UT was playing TCU that Saturday. Before every home game, the Showgirls would meet our loved ones in front of Frog Fountain, a landmark spot on TCU’s campus. On this particular game day something seemed a little different, but I couldn't put my finger on it. While I was visiting with our friends, my mom told me I needed to take a picture of just Quinn and I. As we “posed” I looked out and saw all of our friends and family had lined up in front of us to watch and I knew exactly what was going to happen next. After a few sweet words, Quinn got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I, of course, said “YES!” Our forever truly begins May 25 and we can't wait to celebrate with you all!
