We met at Benedictine College in the fall of 2017. While Katie fell head-over-heels for Michael the first time she spied him, it wouldn't be until the fall of 2019 that he finally took her on a date. Like most Benedictine College students, they went and got a coffee at The Sunflower - a date that should have been an hour long promptly became six hours. From there, as they say, the rest is history.
On June 24th, the couple went on a casual day date to The River Market in KC. On the way home, one of their best friends called them to inform the two that her car had broken down at a park near their apartment complex. When they went by to pick her up Michael "accidentally" parked on the wrong side of the park and decided that the best way to get to the other side was on foot. While walking past the pond, Michael got down on one knee and popped the question! The rest of the day was filled with family dinners and a follow up celebration with dear friends. We can't wait to see you in St. Louis to celebrate our wedding!
