It’s happening!!

Our story began 1 month after I had moved from Utica to Boston, and we matched online. Matt asked for my number, but instead of texting me, he called me (!!) and we spent the next 2 nights on the phone talking until 2am, like you would with a crush in high school, talking about whatever. I can remember our first date distinctly being on a Tuesday night, because Matt didn't want to wait until I got back from a long weekend visiting home to see me. He drove 30 minutes to the North Shore after work to pick me up as we had decided to do a beach night vs going to dinner. I was brand spankin' new to a coastal area and couldn't get enough of the beach (and that still stands to be true). We went to a local "packy" and Matt let me pick what we'd be having. To nobody's surprise, it was October, so I naturally picked a Pumpkin beer. We took the 6 pack and went to a random beach close by, brought a blanket and were there for hours. Again, another Kat-ism we all know today, I was happy just looking out at the ocean with Matt's company and didn't need anything over the top. That night, we shared our first kiss - and the rest is history! We literally have never stopped being together since! And as of September 2021, we've started our new adventure in sunny San Diego, CA! * * * Through a relationship full of adventures, non-stop laughter and taking a leap of faith both back then and still today, we couldn't be where we are without the support for all loving family and friends.
