Remplir le RSVP en indiquant « ne peut pas venir » dès que possible nous sera vraiment utile, ainsi qu’au traiteur. Si c’est dans les dernières 48 heures, appelez-nous. Où se dérouleront la cérémonie de mariage et la réception ? Where is the wedding and reception venue?
Answer
Both are taking place at Luis’s family’s country house in Saint-Avit-Sénieur, France in the Dordogne, Périgord region of France. The house is an old tobacco farm on about 6 acres. Les deux événements auront lieu dans la maison de campagne de la famille de Luis à Saint-Avit-Sénieur, en France, dans la région de la Dordogne, Périgord. La maison est une ancienne ferme de tabac située sur un terrain d’environ 2,5 hectares.

La cérémonie ou la réception auront-elles lieu à l’intérieur ou en plein air ? Will the ceremony or reception be indoors or outdoors?

La cérémonie se déroulera en plein air et la réception aura lieu à l’intérieur. La danse se fera en extérieur… ou partout où l’envie vous prendra ! MDR The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Dancing will take place outdoors. Or wherever the mood strikes you. lol

Oui ! Nos nièces seront ravies d'avoir des enfants à leurs côtés. Yes! Our nieces will be happy to have some kids around.

Dressy-casual. It will most likely be hot so keep that in mind. Tenue décontractée et habillée. Il fera probablement chaud, alors gardez cela à l'esprit.

Answer
Il y aura un vin de honoraires et un dîner après la cérémonie. There will be a cocktail hour and sit down dinner afterward the ceremony.

Il fait généralement chaud en été. Les températures peuvent atteindre 32-35 degrés. It is usually hot in summer. It can get to 90-95 degrees.

Commet y arriver? How do I get to the wedding venue?

Paris CDG or Orly > TGV to Bordeaux > TER train to Bergerac train station > rental car > 45 minute drive to the house. It will take a good 6 hours total from Paris. Bordeaux >rental car > 2 hour drive approx. to the house.

Puis-je amener un plus un ? Can I bring a plus one?

Nous avons une liste d’invités et devons respecter notre budget, mais cela dit… Appelez-nous et voyez si nous ne pouvons pas accueillir une autre personne. We do have a guest list and need to stay on budget but that said… Give us a call and see if we can’t squeeze another person in.

Please see our “Things to do” page. The area is so rich and beautiful and full of history. There are many castles, grottes, Camino de Santiago routes. The river Dordogne provides many things to do. Food is excellent and known for foie gras. Consultez notre page « Things to do ». La région est riche, magnifique et chargée d'histoire. On y trouve de nombreux châteaux, grottes et chemins de Saint-Jacques. La Dordogne offre de nombreuses activités. La gastronomie y est excellente et le foie gras y est réputé.

Périgord is the word used for the historical and cultural region. Dordogne is the name of the river in the region and also the French administrative department name. There are 4 color regions: Périgord Noir (black): Southeast, around Sarlat—famous for forests and truffles. Périgord Blanc(White): Central area, including Périgueux—characterized by limestone plains. Périgord Vert(Green):North—lush, green, and forested. Périgord Pourpre(purple): Southwest—vineyards and medieval bastides centered on Bergerac. We are in the PURPLE area.
