In 2016 Justin wooed his way into Kathryn's DMs and her heart by asking her about her Witcher III play through. Since a romantic first date to see a mediocre movie remake of a remake of Seven Samurai and dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, Justin and Kathryn have been smitten with each other and nearly inseparable.

In 2020 after living together for two and a half years Justin and Kathryn closed on a house in Durham, were stuck together in said house for eight months (and then some, thanks COVID). They decided they REALLY liked each other and got engaged at Eno River State Park on Fanny’s Ford Trail October 2020.
