Our first date was on Sunday, March 15th, 2020. It was the first Sunday that both of our churches cancelled services, so we went to brunch at The Corner Cafe in Newport. We talked for two hours and haven't stopped talking since! As event after event was cancelled, we spent all of our time together, driving around for hours, googling getting to know you questions. Easter fell on Justin's birthday in 2020, and he invited Kathryn to spend it with him and his family. While trying to make a good impression, Kathryn was telling a story and talking with her hands like usual when she knocked over a wine glass. Glass shards flew straight into the leftover birthday cake too. Regardless, it was that night that we made our relationship official and shared our first kiss! By May, it was apparent that love was in the air! We went for a picnic at Founder's Brook Park. It was the most, cinematically perfect day. The brook trickled, the birds sang, and the sun shown through the trees. Kathryn's heart pounded, and she knew that she had to tell Justin exactly how she felt or she would burst. She finally got up the courage and said, "I love you." Justin replied with, "I love you too... SO MUCH!"
