Katie’s version: It was the middle of Covid, and there wasn’t much to do besides Peloton classes, binge television shows, and swipe on dating apps. I matched with Jake and our first date was a walk on the beach. I quickly learned a few key things that I absolutely adored about Jake – his sense of humor and goofy demeanor are top notch, he’s always making me laugh. He is the absolute nicest person I know. One evening after a few too many cocktails, I might have cried because he was too nice - true story. He truly values family, which is incredibly important to me as well. That’s when I knew Jake was a keeper, even though he did use 3-in-1 shampoo/body wash/conditioner. Jake’s version: I had given up on dating in LA, but was still swiping on apps, and Katie was the first and only person that seemed real to me. She was funny, not superficial or status oriented. Plus, she was willing to go to Red Robin or Chili’s because I like those places. She also lets me listen to Creed, Korn, Staind, Seether, etc. in the car – which is clutch. Most importantly, she is totally understanding of me and lets me be my best self. I’ve never met a more loving human ever, and I love her with my whole heart. Moose’s version: Katie heard I was looking for a forever home and may be harder to adopt due to potential vet bills due to a problem with my eye. Jake just wanted a sweet puppy. Lucky for Katie and Jake, I was a perfect match for them. They adopted me one day, I had major eye surgery the next, and from that point on I’ve been living my best life. I have my own bed, I have two thirds of their bed, I have my own personal entrance and exit, with a pristine putting green for shagging balls.
