Iuri fell for Kathryn at first sight in the Club Med restaurant. Taking advantage of his language skills he grabbed the opportunity to help her order in Italian. Little did he know Kathryn had already subtly mentioned to her cousin Gina there was a “hottie in a white shirt” stood nearby. Luckily for Iuri he didn’t wait long to set his eyes upon his future wife again. Kathryn inherited her Father’s rigour in assessing a hotel room and was quick to address its unsuitability. As Reception Manager, Iuri was delighted to find Kathryn at his complaints desk. Kathryn was torn to see the hottie sat in front of her, but stayed true to her need for her beauty sleep. Politely and with a smile she requested Iuri immediately fix a number of very important issues with her room. As someone who prides himself in Customer Service Iuri felt it his duty to over deliver on Kathryn’s demands, requesting only a drink in return that evening. 300 days of Skype followed, interspersed with 5 visits to Club Med Sicily, 1 trip to A&E in Seville and 3 trips to Club Med in The Alps - until Iuri made the big move to London Town. The rest is history. Iuri popped the question on June 15th 2019 on Clapham Common over a private (semi-legal) fireworks show. They can’t wait to get married and celebrate with everyone how excited they are to spend the rest of their lives together. Bring it on!
