Emily is Katie’s older sister and her built-in best friend. Some people also say she’s Katie’s twin- you can tell them apart on wedding day by finding the one in white. Emily has always looked over Katie as they have grown up together, originally sharing a room (even if Emily would sometimes lock Katie out of their room). They always like to joke that if they weren’t sisters, they would wouldn’t be friends. But how lucky they are to be sisters because Katie needs someone to ask all her questions to, to go on walks with, and to most importantly stand by her side through all the biggest moments of her life. There is nobody in the world that understands Katie better. Katie cannot imagine a life she didn’t have a steadfast, attentive sister who always looked after her and she is so grateful she never had to experience life without her. Emily will always be Katie’s first and very best friend.

Anelese is Katie’s childhood- and now adulthood- best friend. Anelese has been a constant in Katie’s life from playing high school soccer together to going on trips together to now standing in her wedding as her bridesmaid. Anelese’s intentionality and kindness has always made Katie feel like she could trust Anelese with anything. Anelese’s loyalty is also something that Katie has always valued and the comfort of knowing that Anelese would do absolutely anything in the world for her is irreplaceable. She loves Anelese like a sister (and people will tell you they fight like it too), and she is so lucky to have her by her side on not just her wedding day, but life.

Aryssa and Katie met through their sorority while they were both students at Purdue. Originally, Katie thought Aryssa was mean- but as they have been friends for 5 years now, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Katie has been lucky enough to experience Aryssa’s deep love and friendship as they have navigated life in different parts of the country the past years. Aryssa is Katie’s first call when she’s having a good day, a bad day, or when nothing happens at all, and she just wants to talk. Katie can always count on Aryssa to fiercely support all of her endeavors, but also always be honest with her when Katie needs it the most. Katie love’s Aryssa’s humor and heart and is so excited to have her stand by her on her wedding day.

Kristen was Katie’s neighbor in her dorm freshman year at Purdue, as well as her very first friend she made at college. Kristen and Katie clicked instantly with nonstop laughter and conversation filling their dorm rooms. Inseparable throughout freshman year, they continued being friends throughout college but have gotten even closer since they graduated despite living in different states, talking every day. When Katie describes Kristen to others, she often says the best way to summarize Kristen is that she is just a great, likable person with the biggest heart of gold that anyone that meets her recognizes. Kristen has been by Katie’s side through so many stages and loved her loyally (even through the worst stages). Katie refers to Kristen as her forever friend, and is so grateful to have her stand by her on her wedding day.

Sophia is one of Katie’s best friends from high school and one of her favorite people in general. Sophia has an infectious personality and can always make Katie laugh, reminding Katie to not take life too seriously. With Sophia now living in Georgia, Katie lost her concert and sweet treat run partner, but Katie knows Sophia would get on a plane in a heartbeat for her, which is one of the reasons Katie loves her so much. They don’t have to talk everyday, but every time they do it’s like no time has passed at all. Sophia’s love for life and her loved ones is beautiful, and Katie is so grateful to experience that love. Katie is so excited to have Sophia join her on her special day (and expects her to bring the fun per usual).

Belle was one of Katie’s sorority sisters and roommates at college, and remains one of her very best friends today. From going to fraternity formals together to now planning weddings at the same time, Katie and Belle have countless memories together. Whether they were skipping class and having a wine & pizza day in college or going to HomeGoods, Belle has always brought Katie a sense of comfort every time they’re together and Katie loves the ease of their friendship. Katie is endlessly grateful for a friend like Belle, whose presence makes every memory brighter and whose loving nature is always felt. Belle is fiercely loyal and affectionate, and Katie is so lucky to call her a friend.
