Spoiler alert: We are already married! On a snowy Saturday in January 2017, we exchanged vows in Turkish under the watchful eye of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk during a legal ceremony in Istanbul. Following a lengthy visa process and a four-month period of forced separation while we waited for a visa to the travel ban (thanks Trump!) we are finally able to celebrate our marriage for real with our family and friends. The wedding party we never had!
