We are having trouble with our hotel block links, but there are a plethora of hotels in Chicago so please feel free to book elsewhere. We are happy to help you narrow down the choices. We recommend staying downtown to get the full Chicago experience.

FAQs

You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers
Question

What if I'm feeling sick or have tested positive for COVID-19?

Answer

Your health and the health of our family and friends are very important to us. Please do not come if you are feeling ill, have been recently exposed to Covid-19, or are currently positive for Covid-19, even if you have RSVP'd yes. We absolutely understand and look forward to celebrating with you at a different time!

Question

When should I RSVP by? How do I RSVP?

Answer

ASAP. It will make it easier to plan with more accurate numbers. Please let us know no later than September 17, 2021. To RSVP, please click on the "RSVP" tab at the top of this page.

Question

I'm having a hard time with my RSVP, can I get help?

Answer

Yes! You can call or text Kathryn (217-474-2815) to get your RSVP entered.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests may arrive as early as 12:30 p.m. and we kindly ask that you arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. Our ceremony will start promptly at 1:00 p.m.

Question

I can't make it in time for the ceremony, what should I do?

Answer

We know Friday weddings can be tough! If you're not able to make it for the ceremony, we understand, but we hope you'll join us for the reception! ***Note: Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church has live streaming of the altar if you would like to tune in virtually.

Question

Does the ceremony include Catholic Mass?

Answer

No, due to the varied faiths in attendance, we have decided to perform only the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Question

How close are the events to downtown Chicago?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church -- 2 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The reception will take place at Greenhouse Loft -- 5 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?

Answer

Given the number of guests we have scattered throughout the city, we are not providing transportation to and from the events. We recommend driving or getting an Uber.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The ceremony venue has a large parking lot to accommodate our guests, and it is free of course. For the reception, we recommend using Uber or Lyft as the venue has limited parking available.

Question

Why is there a gap between the ceremony and reception? What should we do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Due to the need to postpone our wedding, availability at our venues was very limited. You can use this time to nap, explore Chicago, or get ready for the next event. For the ladies, feel free to use this time to freshen up, change looks, or relax. For the guys, this time can be used to pregame or nap.

Question

What should I wear for the reception?

Answer

Formal Attire: Think tuxes, suits, or even sport coats for the gents; and floor-length dresses, fancy cocktail dresses, or pantsuits for the ladies!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Unless your invitation states "and Guest," we have one seat saved for you. Please feel free to email us with any questions!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We look forward to celebrating with all members of your family. Just let us know if we need to save them a spot! But, if you want to make our wedding an adult night off, that's okay too!

Question

What food options will be served?

Answer

We will be having appetizers during cocktail hour and the reception will have a buffet where you can pick and choose between different options.

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please let us know.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us! Please enjoy but drink responsibly. The night will be heavily photographed and videotaped. ;)

Question

Can I make a song request?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP (through the tab above), you can submit your song request.
