We matched on Hinge and Alex got Kathryn talking by asking her about her favorite books. After that, we decided to meet for the first time at the Barnes and Noble cafe surrounded by our favorite things, coffee and books. A few dates filled with escape rooms, ice rinks, and burgers followed. Until finally, on the night of March 25th, both Alex and Kathryn decided they no longer were among those searching for love, because they had found it.

We took a weekend trip to Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate our one year anniversary. The Friday we arrived, we decided to go out to dinner with our close friends, the Bagwells. Little did Kathryn know that Alex was planning on proposing that night. We went out to eat at a fantastic BBQ restaurant and then on a whim decided to try a rolled ice cream place near by. After a wonderful night out, we went back to the Bagwell house to hangout. Cassie and Kathryn went to the kitchen to get some wine. While in the kitchen, Alex got down on one knee behind Kathryn. After a moment (in which an audible gasp from Cassie alerted Kathryn that something was going on lol), Kathryn turned to see Alex down on one knee. He ask her to marry him and she said yes!!!
