Chateau Pruzilly

At the border of Beaujolais and Southern Burgundy, Château Pruzilly stands in the middle of the vineyards, facing the exceptional panorama of the Saône valley, the Jura, the Alps and Mont Blanc.
Château Pruzilly was built in the 17th century, around 1620, including the original Pruzilly church, who's priest lived in the Château. Over the year a number of modifications were made, until in 1850 the decision was taken to rebuild a new church on top of the Pruzilly hill so that the inhabitants on both sides of the hill could hear the church bells.
With an ideal geographical location, the Château was the largest wine estate in Pruzilly, until 1962 when the Château stopped its wine production and the vines were sold their growers.
We'll be getting married in the pavilion (a newer addition to the grounds), eating in the converted "Gite du Cuvage" (winery barn), and partying in the vaulted cellar (the transformed "Cave" wine store).
