In the summer of 2022, I met Sarah (Coby's sister). We were coworkers for only a few months before she told me that she wanted me to marry her brother. Who's this brother? An Army boy that lives all the way out in North Carolina. That was about the most delusional thing I had ever heard. But of course, I texted him anyway. Sarah wasn't the only delusional one. December of that same year Coby came down on leave, and we went on our first date/not-a-date to BJ's (this was the start of Coby's pizookie obsession) where I realized delusion must run in the family. Not even a few hours into meeting this man he tells me "I'm going to marry you one day". Any sane person would have run. The classic military tactic of getting married on the second date. That wasn't going to work on me. So instead, when he asked me to be his girlfriend right before leaving for Ranger school in the summer of 2023, I confidently told him no... and then wrote him love letters until he graduated... and then drove to Georgia to surprise him at his graduation... safe to say I was a little delusional myself. Coby then swept me off my feet with amazing dates and romantics and I finally got the chance to change my answer to yes when he asked me once again to be his girlfriend on Dec 13, 2023. We have now spent 2 amazing years together and have been blessed with a little baby girl due May 2026. We are so excited to not only start our lives together but also start a family.
