Once upon an time on a lovely April spring day in 2019, Kathleen went to downtown Baltimore to meet up with her friends from college. Her college friend Chris had told her he had some high school friends in town and that she should go out with them. Kathleen knocked on her friends door as she heard a voice from inside say "Who is it?" Annoyed, she responded "It's me, duhh!" The door opens, and there stood Wynn. Kathleen was so taken back by the handsome man who opened the door, that she ran right past him, completely ignoring him. Later that night at the bar, Wynn and Kathleen started to flirt in the only way they could think of...Kathleen squirting ketchup in Wynn's mouth (he must have reallyyyy liked her). After this initial night, the two spent the next few months Snapchatting, playing IPhone games, and texting dream houses back and forth. Not knowing where things were going with "Massachusetts Boy", Kathleen took a chance and flew to see Wynn in October of 2019. The day she arrived, Kathleen cut right to the chase asking Wynn if they were "bf and gf" (she was too nervous to say the actual words). Wynn politely changed the topic... immediately. On the last day of Kathleen's visit to North Andover, Wynn finally asked Kathleen to officially be his girlfriend. After this trip, the two were virtually inseparable, emphasis on virtually considering they were 437 miles away from each other. Southwest's best customers flew back and forth to visit each other for the next 2 years. They grew stronger with each visit. This time was hard for the couple, but their distance came to an end in the summer of 2021 when Wynn decided to move his life from Massachusetts to Maryland. For the past 5 years, the couple has supported each other through all of life's ups and downs. Fire academy graduation, masters degree, family deaths, job stresses, brewery outings, and a new puppy. Wynn and Kathleen have never been stronger than they are today. On May 28, 2024 Wynn finally asked the question Kathleen has been waiting her whole life for...well at least he tried to ask between all the happy sobs and screaming. In true Wynn and Kathleen fashion, Wynn got down on one knee in the privacy of their home...in the bathroom. After the crying and screaming subsided, Kathleen finally said yes to marrying the man she always wished for. The next chapter in their journey starts September 27, 2025.
