Pike Place Market
A must-do if you've never been! Don't forget to visit the lower floors too! While here, we recommend Beecher's for the best mac and cheese, and Rachel's Ginger Beer for a yummy beverage or sweet treat. For more of a "sit-down" meal, we love The Pink Door.
Macrina Bakery
Our favorite bakery/morning walk combo! Grab a raspberry cornetto and take it on a walk through the cute neighborhood over to Kerry Park for the iconic Seattle skyline view. You'll also get pretty views of the water, ferry boats, and some old Seattle homes.
Ballard Farmers Market
A Sunday morning favorite! Complete with yummy food and pretty flowers :)
Ballard Breweries
We love brewery hopping around Ballard. Our favorite spots are Reuben's Brews (Sam's favorite IPAs) and Urban Family for the best sours and beer slushies.
Little Tin Goods & Apothecary Cabinet
One of our favorite Ballard cocktail bars. They make fun tiki drinks, and have some yummy light bites as well.
45th Stop N Shop & Poke Bar
The best poke in Seattle in Kathleen's old neighborhood of Wallingford! Take it to Gas Works Park for a picnic :)
Westward
Delicious seafood and a fun happy hour spot! For a more casual meal, check out Bowrider's Grill! You get the same beautiful view, with a more casual vibe.
Reckless Noodle House and Cocktails
Another favorite! Delicious family-style eating, great cocktails, and cool atmosphere.
Boat Rentals on Lake Union
We have had lots of fun with boat rentals on Lake Union over the years. The Electric Boat Company has covered, easy-to-drive rentals that are super fun and a great way to see the city. We also love Lake Union Hot Tub Boats for a unique and fun boating experience. There are a few different companies that rent out hot tub boats -- they've all been great so far!

Hiking
The Seattle area is known for its beautiful hikes! We have lots of summer memories exploring the beautiful Washington outdoors. Check out wta.org for hiking recommendations, directions, reviews, etc. A few great hikes nearby are Rattlesnake Ridge, Mount Si, Twin Falls, and Snow Lake.
