My parents met online almost 20 years ago and they are still lucky in love, so I thought it would be interesting to branch out of the bubble of Irvine and see what I find. As luck would have it, Kathleen was the first and last conversation I had on the app. When you know, you know! She didn't even have the time of day for me! I sent text after text with little to no response but when I finally threw in the towel, she stepped up her game. I convinced her to meet me in down town Fullerton for a beer and a bite to eat (also to make sure she was not some 50 year old man in a basement.) From the moment I saw her, I thought she was the most beautiful women, inside and out. Her smile was contagious and her humor kept us laughing all night. I never met someone who constantly had me questioning myself and striving to out wit her. As time went on, I met her incredible family, whom I grew to love and adore. After 6 months, we agreed living apart was too hard. I knew I never wanted to wake up without seeing that face again. So much of our lives changed over the next 4 years from jobs, family loss, learning to work as a team and so on. We made it through every bump, stronger than ever. Ask anyone and they will tell you, I knew I was going to marry Kat from the day she agreed to be my girlfriend. I always thought people were insane to know something like that but here I am. FINALLY I couldn't wait another day and purchased the ring design Kat had created. She didn't even realize she was feeding me ideas for months. With the ring in hand, I planned for the perfect engagement for the perfect human. We always enjoyed weekend getaways and she became accustomed to surprise trips I planned. When I told her we were headed to a winery in Northern California, she didn't think twice. As we sat on a cliff above the shores of Fort Bragg, a bottle of wine was brought out with a label saying, "Let's make forever and always official. Will you marry me?" And the rest is history...
