We ask that guests please dress in semi-formal attire. For example, a suit and tie or cocktail dress or long dress
Although we adore your little ones, the reception is adult-only. We do welcome kids throughout the weekend. If you are traveling from out of State, please contact us to help you arrange childcare!
Church ceremony will begin at 1:00PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for the ceremony. Carpooling is encouraged as the parking lot behind the Church is small. Street parking is also available and it will be "off-season" in Newport.
There is plenty of parking on base at the venue location. Please plan accordingly, as you will not be allowed to leave your car on base overnight. You will only be able to enter the main base gate once and not be able to come back on Sunday morning.
Although you may Uber/Taxi to the reception, you will only be able to walk through the gate. Your Uber driver is not on the wedding guest list, therefore the driver will not have access to the base. If you decide to walk from the gate, the Officer's Club is about 1/4 mile from the gate entrance.
No! (Although we do love a funny story) Please plan accordingly, as guests will not be allowed to leave cars on base overnight. Guests will not have access to the base on Sunday to retrieve cars.
Absolutely no! Even though marijuana is legal in Rhode Island, it is illegal at the Federal level. The base is at a Federal level. Therefore, you will be escorted off the base or arrested! As for alcohol, we will have plenty of it once you get to the Officer's Club reception.
Although, we do understand the entire Navy base is a very pretty location, guests are only allowed to explore areas of Officers Club, Officers Club exterior, parking lot surrounding the club, and the immediate surroundings.
