We met sophomore year of high school in biology class. Colin was quiet and shy while Kathleen was outgoing and sociable, so naturally we became fast friends after being assigned seats next to each other. We were in the same friend group throughout high school, but the summer after high school graduation is when we started hanging out outside of the group and getting to know each other better. From there, we never stopped talking despite going to college 600 miles apart! If you asked our high school selves if we would be where we are today, we probably would have laughed at you, but we're so happy to see that it clearly was meant to be!

We finally ended our long distance phase in May 2022 when we moved to Arlington, Virginia together. 6 months later, on a Thursday night in November, Colin proposed! We're so excited to celebrate the start of this next chapter in our love story with you all.
