We’re (still) getting married!

To Our Amazing Friends and Family, Love never fails, but sometimes wedding plans do. Because of safety concerns and guidelines regarding the worldwide pandemic, we have changed our original plans and now invite you to join our Nuptial Mass via live stream. While we wish we could celebrate with you in person, we are grateful to be united in prayer. While #philsbigfatpeekwedding is now #philssmallkatpeekweddingwithatleast6ftofsocialdistancing, we are still thrilled and grateful to God to be able to get married. We are rejoicing at the opportunity to enter our vocation and love each other through good times and bad. Lastly, we wanted to share with all of our friends and family that we will be moving to Baton Rouge this June. Philip will be teaching math at Catholic High School and Kat will be the campus minister at St. Joseph's Academy. We are excited to start this new chapter together in Louisiana, and we are hopeful that our socially-distanced wedding will give us great experience in keeping room for the Holy Spirit and chaperoning high school dances. Please keep our cross-country move, transition into married life, and Philip's adjustment to the Louisiana heat in your prayers. ;) We look forward to dancing with you soon! Kathleen and Philip

O God our Loving Father,Creator of all things, you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer,into the home of Mary and Joseph forming the Holy Family of Nazareth; inspire us by their example to imitate their selfless charity in our family life.  Through the intercession of St Josemaria, help our families to be united in the heart of Christ, enjoying a loving communion with each other, recognizing and upholding the sacredness of marriage,generously welcoming the gift of life, and valuing the inestimable gift of each family member.  Help us to dedicate ourselves in generous service to our families and to reflect the love that Christ had for Mary and Joseph, making our family a true domestic Church with Christ at its center.Teach us to find Christ in the crosses that occur in family life and help us to find joy in them and unite them to him. Watch over and protect our family so that each member will be faithful to the Gospel and never stray from the path of holiness.
