When is the deadline to RSVP?

Please kindly RSVP online by July 20th ****** After the due date , the RSVP scan codes will close and we cannot add anyone to the list due to venue/vendor requirements

Answer

A welcome reception including a light dinner and drinks will be held at the Margaritaville - Destin on Friday, September 20th from 6-9 pm. This will allow us to spend a little extra time with each of you as we kick off our wedding weekend.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:30 PM, We would love for you to enjoy the view and arrive approx. 30 minutes prior but no later than 15 minutes before the start.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, your envelope will be addressed accordingly, and your plus one will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding! Please note we cannot add to the guest list.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love all of your children, unless noted on your invitation, we have to decided to make our wedding weekend an adults-only event.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please feel free to stay where you like, Destin has many great beaches and resorts. We have reserved a block of rooms at a hotel close to the venue, The Inn on Destin Harbor. The Emerald Grande, will provide a discount if you book one of their condos as well. To receive the discount for the Emerald Grande, please contact the resort and mention the King-Shevlin wedding (you must call, as the discount can not be applied via online booking). Please ask for Christy Matthews for assistance if needed. If the venue's condos are booked, the individual condo owners may list their condos on air b &b and red week.com, as well as vrbo. The Inn on Destin Harbor Hotel Block Info.

Answer

There is a block of rooms at the Inn on Destin Harbor listed under "Shevlin Party". The rooms include 2 Queen Beds and have been reserved on the side of the hotel that is overlooking the Harbor. The rooms are available at the block rate for check in beginning Thursday, September 19, 2024 through checkout Monday, September 23, 2024, you are welcome to stay longer but the block is held for the mentioned days. Emerald Grande Discount Info.

Answer

** The September 2024 rates have not been released for booking, the sales manager will contact us and let us know when our guests can book at the Emerald Grande for our wedding weekend, and at that time there will be a 3 night minimum and you will receive 15% off. ** Please contact Christy Matthews, sales director, if you need assistance. Note you are booking under " The Shevlin King Wedding " and provide the date and there will be a 15% discount applied. You must call to book and receive this discount, you cannot apply the discount via online booking.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There is not one set mode of transportation available. Please consider downloading the Destin Harbor Haulers app for free golf cart transfers to certain locations and always available back to the Inn from the venue, and most surrounding areas. The water taxi is available from the Inn to anywhere on the Harbor and beyond, including the Emerald Grande and Margaritaville. Lyft and Uber as well as personal rental cars are always options as well.

Destin, Florida is located in Central Standard Time (CST) and is 1 hour behind Eastern Standard Time. For example if you are located in Shelton, Ct and it is 4 pm then it would be 3 pm in Destin, Florida. Please keep this in mind when booking travel.
