Walking Directions to Bethesda Terrace
To reach Bethesda Terrace in Central Park from the 72nd Street and 5th Avenue entrance, follow these steps(walking directions also available on Google/Apple Maps): Enter Central Park at the 72nd Street and 5th Avenue entrance. Proceed westward along the 72nd Street Cross Drive. Continue straight for approximately 0.2 miles (about 5 minutes). Arrive at Bethesda Terrace, which will be directly ahead, overlooking the Lake and featuring the iconic Bethesda Fountain.

By Subway
The Bethesda Terrace is in the lower third of Central Park. The closest park entrance is at East 72nd Street. To reach the fountain via subway, take the A or C train to 72nd St. and Central Park West, and walk half-way across the park.
