Debatable. We've been engaged since 2021 and we just didn't want to wait any longer! We were going to sneak off to the court house but we really wanted to celebrate with you. We know that this affair is basically a sprint in the wedding world. If you can make it, amazing — if not, no worries at all. We’ll take plenty of photos so you can celebrate with us from afar!
Because everything is moving quickly with the short timeline, we’re hoping to have RSVPs ASAP. Thank you for getting back to us so soon!
We’ll kick things off with a Welcome Party at our house on Friday, and wrap up the weekend with a Farewell Brunch in the Rose Garden on Sunday. If you’re able, stick around — there’s so much to see and do in Portland (check out our Things To Do page!). We’ll be in full wedding mode during the weekend, but if you’re in town before or after, let us know — we’d love to hang!
Check out the Travel page! If those lodging options don't work out, our favorite areas are Mississippi Ave, Alberta Arts District, Northwest, and East Burnside to Laurelhurst Park. These are the neighborhoods that truly capture the Portland experience we can’t wait to share with you.

Like any major city, Portland has its quirks — but overall, it’s a friendly and welcoming place. While downtown hasn’t fully recovered from the pandemic, there are a few gems downtown we adore (Powell’s, Maurice, Carlita’s, Lil' Shalom). If you need to stay downtown, we recommend the Pearl District — it’s literally the pearl of the area. We tend to avoid Old Town Chinatown due to its proximity to social services and its central location for houseless camps. However, as with any city, it’s always important to stay aware of your surroundings. Most visitors have an easy time here, and if you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
There are tons of great places to stay in the city, so we’re not offering transportation. If you stay in the Alberta Arts District, you'll be within walking distance. But no worries if not—Ubers and Lyfts are super easy to grab, and should have you covered!
Please park on the street (and take an Uber or Lyft if you're drinking).
Summer cocktail! Breezy, fun, and colorful. And if jorts and Crocs happen to show up, well...pop off. In August, Portland temperatures can reach the 80s between 2PM and 7PM (hopefully not higher, but we're not climate change deniers). The A.C. will be on for the ceremony and dancing but cocktails and dinner will take place in the garden. We recommend layering for comfort in the heat and for the West Coast chill that hits when the sun sets.
If you’re feeling generous beyond gifting us your presence, we’ve got a Honeymoon & Home Fund on the Registry page. We’re big into thrifting and already short on space, so we'd prefer fund contributions over physical gifts (we're one candlestick away from chaos). Of course, anything handmade with love is always welcome.
We’re bringing together a wild mix of humans from all parts of our lives and the country — and you’re one of them! To keep things intimate, we’re not doing plus-ones, but you’ll be in amazing company.
We’ve decided to keep things kid-free.
Absolutely, please let either Katherine or Vic know so we can arrange accommodations.
