Road Trip!

Rent a car and drive 5 hours down the beautiful Kenai Peninsula to Homer. This is a great idea if you carpool with friends, are staying for a bit, or want to see more of Alaska. Fly on RAVN Airlines from Anchorage to Homer. Typically around $175 per person each way. You will need to collect your bags at the Anchorage airport and take them to the departure terminal. You can also fly RAV to Kenai (two hour drive from Homer) and rent a car.

The Northbound trip departs Homer in the morning and arrives in Anchorage in the early afternoon. The Southbound trip departs Anchorage in the afternoon and arrives back in Homer in the evening. About $110 per person each way.

Charter a flight on a float plane $1650 for up to 5 people, up to 800 lbs of gear and people. You would need to leave the international airport and trek to the float plane airport next door.
