This place has great shopping and dining! Sheldon and Katherine recommend eating at Minero for great Mexican food and cocktails. There are lots of activities on the rooftop including mini golf and carnival games. It costs about $20 per person for rooftop access.
The Decatur Square is the location of the hotel that we blocked for our wedding. There are many walkable restaurants in the area. It's also nice just to go out and walk around for fun. This is where Katherine grew up and has spent a lot of time as a high schooler. Sheldon and Katherine frequent this area for dinner and drinks.
Sweet Auburn BBQ fuses asian flavors with classic southern barbecue. This is Katherine and Sheldon's favorite restaurant in Atlanta. They go here way too often. At least once every couple weeks, you'll catch them at the bar (Sheldon with a whiskey straight and Katherine with their pimento cheese wontons).
The Indie was a place Sheldon and Katherine frequented a lot, although not much now. It's a super casual restaurant/bar and pool hall. We have made many memories there with friends over the years. Go there for the fireball shots and pool! The food is just bar food and nothing to write home about. Unless you get the grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Little 5 Points is home to some quirky shops, thrift stores, and delicious restaurants. It's also fun to walk around and people watch. Katherine and Sheldon suggest trying out The Vortex for a burger that might give you a heart attack, or El Bandido for their delicious margaritas and guacamole! If you do decide to visit this neighborhood, don't miss out on a shopping trip to Junkman's Daughter.
The Clermont Hotel is an Atlanta staple. This renovated hotel features a rooftop bar with a beautiful view of the city. The basement comes to life in the evening as a bar featuring performers. You should definitely google this place before going to get a better idea of what you're getting into. We promise it will be an experience you won't forget.
