Katherine and Seaford met as teenagers through one of Katherine's best friends, who is also Seaford's aunt. They saw one another other at family functions a few times and had a couple friendly exchanges, but this was just the beginning, as God had much more in store for the pair. Things took a romantic turn when Seaford asked Katherine out on a lunch date to a farm (since they both love animals and nature) and they officially began dating in 2020. The couple have been inseparable ever since!

Seaford envisioned something quite different for his proposal to Katherine - he had a plan. He was going to propose at breakfast on the beach, but love hit him on this Sunday afternoon (following a considerably heated debate after church). And so, Seaford invited Katherine up to his apartment to "see" something. She was confused, but followed him up anyway. While there, Seaford excused himself to get changed into something more comfortable - and inconspicuously grabbed the ring. He returned to Katherine and began playing their song, Conversations in the Dark by John Legend. They spoke for a while, interrupted by Katherine's sudden reaching back to check her phone. However, she was shocked when her hand landed right on the ring box instead! She looked back at Seaford in complete surprise, and Seaford asked her to be his wife. Of course, Katherine said yes, there were lots of tears and laughs, and Seaford slid the ring onto her finger. Now, #letsgetreadytorussell!
