Travel Note
Here are a few tips to consider while planning your trip: You need a passport. Please make sure yours is up to date! If you don’t have one yet, apply at least 6 months in advance (the sooner, the better). You’ll get a paper slip upon entering Mexico – keep this secured with your passport and don’t lose it! You’ll be asked for it back when you go back home. You need a negative COVID test taken three days before departure to board your flight back home. As of right now, even those who are fully vaccinated still require a test. Please make arrangements with your hotel to schedule this ahead of your trip. Credit cards are widely accepted in Mexico, but you should always carry Pesos. Don’t drink the tap water. Ask if the ice cubes are filtered. You’ll thank us later. Don’t take taxis from the street. Ask your hotel for shuttle or transportation recommendations. As a good rule of thumb, tip at least 10% in restaurants and bars.
Flight
Please note a passport is required for anyone entering Mexico. Make sure yours is up to date! *Important*: Due to COVID-19, the CDC now requires a negative test taken within 72 hours of departure in order to board your flight back home. Most hotels now offer tests for guests, so we recommend checking with the hotel before booking to make sure or to make other testing arrangements ahead of time. Los Cabos Airport is about a 20-minute car ride to San Jose del Cabo, and 35-minutes to Cabo San Lucas.
