It all started in the fall of 2014 when Katherine and Nick were both back on campus at Providence College after a nice summer break. Nick was introduced to Katherine through a mutual friend, and everyone who was back on campus had a nice and relaxing weekend before classes kicked back up. They continued to bump into each other during that school year, but not much more came from that initial introduction until the fall of 2016. Every senior class has a Senior Ring Weekend dance during the fall of their senior year. When it came to who Katherine was going to take to the dance, she was reminded of the younger Nick, who she kept running into. She decided to ask him to the dance even though he was actually Plan B (or C), but boy did it work out! They had a very memorable time at the dance and it might have even involved Nick saving Katherine from quite the fall off a bus! They continued to develop their friendship for the duration of the school year and began dating in May of 2016, right as Katherine was graduating. Luckily, Katherine continued her time at Providence College to earn her Masters Degree and joined Nick during his senior year. Their love story continued on to New York City, where they both moved to after graduating. Katherine began her teaching career while Nick jumped into the world of sales. NYC has been the backdrop of many memories for the future Moretti's: apartment game nights with friends, tons of concerts and shows, and days that turn into nights at local bars like Stumble Inn and Stout. Come the summer of 2023, Katherine, not shockingly, was about to take a nap in Mystic, CT until Nick convinced her that a walk to get coffee from their favorite bakery was very important. Their journey took a huge step when Nick proposed that day. They returned back to the Moretti's house with both families waiting, blasting Taylor Swift, which made for the most special day. Katherine and Nick’s journey has been filled with love, happiness, family, adventure, Katherine asking multiple times to vacation to Disney, Nick yelling at the TV over Providence College basketball, espresso martinis, and so much more. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone who means the most to us! Thank you to our families who have done so much to make this possible and all our friends who have loved and supported us on the way. We cannot wait to celebrate and start this next chapter of our journey with all of you!
