Things To Do & Places to Eat

We are so excited to celebrate with you in Chicago and wanted to share recommendations on things to do and, of course, some (or a lot) of our favorite places to eat!

The Art Institute of Chicago

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603
, (312) 443-3600

Our original wedding site venue...even though we will not be able to celebrate there, it is still worth checking out!

Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago

220 East Chicago Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
, (312) 280-2660

Within walking distance from the Sofitel and The Viceroy

Museum of Science & Industry

Chicago, IL 60637

About a 15 minute drive from the Sofitel and The Viceroy. Located in Hyde Park where Katie grew up.

Chicago Architecture Boat Tour (Chicago Architecture Foundation)

Chicago has some of the best architecture in the world and this tour will give you the best up close views.

Close to the Sofitel and the Viceroy - there is a fancier sit down steak restaurant as well as a cafe with burgers.

The Kismet Table

2142 North Halsted Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (773) 697-7035

This is also close to the Sofitel and the Viceroy. It is owned and run by Oprah's former chef.

Amazing burgers!

Greek Islands

Manny's Cafeteria & Delicatessen

1141 South Jefferson Street, Chicago, IL 60607

Jewish Delicatessen - Katie grew up going here and it is a must when home to visit. Great for a Saturday brunch / lunch.

Al's Italian Beef

1079 West Taylor Street, Chicago, IL

New York has pizza, Philly has cheese steaks and Chicago has Italian Beef and hot dogs. Al's has great beef, hot dogs and french fries. This is the location in Little Italy, but there are others across the city.

Mr. Beef On Orleans

666 North Orleans Street, Chicago, IL 60654

Another Italian beef spot....if you are looking to do a taste test.

Honey Butter Fried Chicken

To round out the beef options....we thought you might also want to try some fried chicken.

For all the days along the way
