One of our favorite views of the city, and a wonderful place to sit out in the sun by the water!
Best view of the Olympic Peninsula. Incredible sunsets!
Great place for picnics, swimming, and walking around the lake.
Good woodsy and beach trails with views of the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound
All are great areas to wander around and/or grab a meal!
Our favorite farmer's market in Seattle - great for breakfast as well as fun gifts and things to take home. Check it out in the morning on Sunday while we're getting ready for the big event!
A classic Seattle tourist stop right outside Pike Place Market, but also one of our favorite (or maybe actually our favorite) grilled cheese and/or mac and cheese spots! New Yorkers, you might recognize the name from the one that just opened on 5th Ave, but the Seattle one is the original!
"Bring it on!": Mailbox Peak and Mount Si (both about 9 miles and 4,000 ft of elevation gain) have the best views, and you will definitely feel the burn! "Nah, I'm just looking for some casual views": Rattlesnake Ledge and Little Si (both about 2 miles) are also gorgeous and have wonderful views of the Cascade Mountains.
Take a drive down to the Rainier National Park. The park has some easy walking paths, but we also recommend just driving around or taking a picnic! This is a good full-day trip for those looking to add a day or two on either side of the weekend.
From downtown Seattle you can take a ferry to Bainbridge or Vashon Island, both of which have beautiful downtown areas that are fun to explore! And the ferry ride itself is well worth the ticket - amazing views of downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier, as well as the Olympic Peninsula and the Olympic Mountains.
The Seattle Art Museum and the Chihuly Exhibit at Seattle Center are great destinations, and we've also heard good things about the EMP Museum (but we haven't been there so if it's meh, sorry).
