Keeneland
Our wedding will take place during Keeneland's Fall Meet! During the meet (October 3-25), races occur daily Wednesday through Sunday. You can attend morning workouts and tour the grounds without a ticket from 7-10 a.m. To enjoy the racing festivities, gates open at 11 a.m. and first post is at 1 p.m. We strongly advise that you purchase tickets ahead of time.
The Bourbon Trail
Kentucky is home to the best Bourbon distilleries in the world! Most distilleries offer guided tours and tastings, or you can stop by just to visit the bar and shop. Our favorites are Woodford Reserve and Castle & Key. Most distilleries in Central KY are a 1-2 hour drive from Lexington. If you plan a guided tour or tasting, we strongly recommended booking tickets well in advance.
Kentucky Horse Park
Check out the exhibits and daily scheduled horse shows. Tickets are required but are available on entry without advance reservations.
The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky
Take a stroll around the beautiful Arboretum. There is a 2 mile loop path with lots of cutoffs - go as far or short as you prefer.
Lexington Farmers Market
On Saturdays, the Lexington Farmers Market is hosted in the heart of downtown at Centennial Park/Fifth Third Pavilion from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
