Planes, Trains, Cars, Buses, Ferries... Nantucket isn't always easiest to get to but we promise it's worth it... look! We encourage you to book reservations as the USGA is hosting their Mid-Amateur tournament the same weekend on Nantucket.

Flight

Flying

If you are coming from afar and plan to fly there are three options: - Fly directly to Nantucket Airport through Boston, Hyannis, Hartford, or New Bedford - Fly to Boston Airport - rent a car or take a bus (Peter Pan or Wanderu) to the ferry in Hyannis (1-ish hour) - Fly to Providence Airport - rent a car or Uber to the ferry in Hyannis (1-ish hour)

Travel Note

The Ferry

Sit back, order chowder, there is a ferry to Nantucket. There are two ferry companies that ride from Hyannis to Nantucket (they are about 200 yards from each other on the harbor). - Steamship Authority: https://www.steamshipauthority.com/ - Hy-line Cruises: https://hylinecruises.com/ You'll have the option to take the slow boat (2 hours) or a fast boat (1 hour). There are lots of overnight parking options in Hyannis for those driving or renting a car from an airport - range from $10-30 per night. You can book through both the Hy-line and Steamship Authority in advance or find parking day of.

Rental Car

On Island Cars

Nantucket is rather small and easy to get around. There are taxis, ubers and a great island shuttle service that make getting from point A to point B very easy. If you would still like to bring your car - you can book a car reservation on a slow ferry. We recommend doing so far in advance as the spots are limited. Nantucket has a few rental companies with cars and mopeds available. - Nantucket Rent A Car: http://www.nantucketislandrentacar.com/ - Nantucket Windmill Auto Rental: http://www.nantucketautorental.com/ - Affordable Rentals: http://www.nantucketislandrentacar.com/

House Or Rental

VRBO

We recommend group house rentals for the best rates and really getting a taste of the island! Here is a link with some great options - https://www.vrbo.com/tripboard/3f6d28de-c698-4ec2-8486-5c42fc222016
