FAQs

If you have any other questions than those listed here, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by the 31st of July, or whenever you have visibility on your attendance. The link to RSVP is available on this website (under the 'RSVP' tab), or through the link included in your emailed invitation.

Question

What do you mean by a "fall formal" dress code?

Answer

We recommend checking the Pinterest board, as it includes many examples for all (https://pin.it/5PFHmz0iv). By 'fall', we're thinking rich, autumn colors (burgundy, deep green, copper, navy, chocolate, etc.) and fun textures (satin, velvet, velour, suede, leather, etc.). By 'formal', we mean suits (tie optional), shirts, tailored pants and blouses, long dresses and skirts. A note on shoes: The venue has cobblestones, gravel and dirt paths, and grass, so please plan your footwear accordingly. Comfy shoes for dancing also encouraged!

Question

What should I expect weather-wise?

Answer

End of October can be quite a gamble in France, so please check the week before. However, expect cool temperatures during the day and chilly in the evening, with a chance of some rain. Bring a nice coat, a scarf or shawl, and maybe an umbrella - there will be a place to put coats. The ceremony and dinner will take place indoors; but we hope to utilize the Château grounds as much as possible so plan for some outdoor time too.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one to the wedding?

Answer

Your invitation includes the names of the people invited. We wish we could include all your partners in the celebration, but due to limited space, we are not able to accommodate everyone.

Question

Are babies and children welcome at the events?

Answer

Our Saturday evening celebration (ceremony, dinner, and party) are adults-only events. We kindly ask that little ones stay home so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening. We understand this may not be possible for families with young babies (under 2), so we will have the option of a dedicated room at the venue with babysitter support. Please reach out if this does (or will) apply to you!

Question

How do you recommend getting from the airport to the venue and its surrounding area?

Answer

We recommend getting to and from the airport by car, either with taxis or renting. If you would like to pair up with others making trips to the airport, you can use this spreadsheet to find travel buddies: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nOQpiVwPkUn8mhnJ9wpNFezB3H_Lcy91kSk5vOoAivY/edit?usp=sharing You can get to Sens, the town near the venue, using public transport by taking the RER train from the airport to Gare de Lyon - Paris, and then taking a train from there towards Sens.

Question

Is transport organized?

Answer

There will be transport for the Friday evening welcome event, the Saturday matinée, and the wedding ceremony Saturday evening. The buses will be going between the venue and near the Epona Hotel in Sens. If you are staying in a location outside of Sens, we recommend renting a car and designating a driver, or pre-booking taxis. Ubers are not reliable in the countryside, especially late in the evening.

Question

Where can I book taxis to/from the airports or to the venue?

Answer

Taxis are easy to get at the airport. However, to pre-book a taxi for your return or for getting to the venue, there are several local taxis companies available. Here are a few options below, but feel free to check online for additional options as they are available. Joël Marino VTC - 06.48.80.99.89 (english speaking) Transport Meddhi - 07.77.43.85.64

Question

Is there a way to find travel buddies to/from the airport?

Answer

Yes, please use this spreadsheet to share your information if you are either offering a ride or have extra space in your taxi, or if you are looking for a spot. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nOQpiVwPkUn8mhnJ9wpNFezB3H_Lcy91kSk5vOoAivY/edit?usp=sharing

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is ample parking.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Gifts are completely optional but we appreciate the thought of you wanting to contribute to the life we are building together. We have a small registry on Amazon, linked under the "Registry/Fund" tab. In addition, we have several funds set up based on currency - for USD, use the Zola fund, for EUR and others, use the Honeyfund.
