Back in January of 2015, they both swiped right, made plans to meet for drinks. Not only did those drinks end up not happening but Jimmy left back to Alaska with Katie's phone number. A couple of months had gone by and Jimmy would text Katie asking how life was and so on. After about a year of texting, phone calls and Facetimes, getting to know one another, Jimmy asked Katie to pick him up from the airport the next time he came into town to visit, and she agreed to do so. It was that day, the first time that they would meet face to face. It was the most nerve racking feeling either of them had felt in a while. The minute Katie actually saw him walking towards me through those doors, she some how knew that he was gonna be her guy. Months later, after Jimmy graduated from college, he came back to visit once again. While Katie was not the one to pick him up from the airport this time, she still made it there to surprise him. Two days into his visit, he's telling her his plans to move to Boise, and told her he loved me for the first time. While their relationship didn't become offical until later that year, it was already in the works as long distance as it was because of Katie's stubbornness and 2,000 miles couldn't keep them apart. In October of 2017, Jimmy moved from Alaska to Idaho to start a life in Boise. September of 2019, Katie decided she didn't want to wait any longer to get engaged, so she bought Jimmy a ring and asked him first, only for him to turn around and ask her himself. Even though one of us has no patience, we are everything worth waiting around for. And while nothing goes as we plan, it eventually works out in the end and we lived happily ever after.
