Katie was living in LA and doing as one does on a Sunday afternoon: scrolling through the dating app, Hinge. Ifeanyi (known as Jonny) caught her eye and she messaged him. They hung out at her place that night, watched one of her favorite movies, American Assassin, and she dropped him off at home. The next morning, Jonny texted her asking her out again that evening. Considering COVID-19 lockdown was in full force, they were inseparable from the beginning. Jonny made it "official" seven days later, already knowing he loved Katie, and she agreed. While Katie's friends and family were a tad weary at the speed of events, she knew it was right.

They moved to an apartment in East Hollywood in June, 2020. Katie was still selling beer and Jonny became a security guard. They quickly grew to love their new neighborhood and little apartment building. Katie worked for a couple different breweries before landing at The Boston Beer Company in 2023. This new role required a move to Northern California, and Jonny did not hesitate when she asked. This was when Katie and her parents knew he meant forever.

Jonny invited Katie for a "photo shoot" on Sunday, June 30 in San Francisco. While Katie suspected something special might be happening, she even asked Jonny, and he denied it! Jonny got down on one knee at sunset in front of the Golden Gate Bridge and asked Katie to be his wife. It was the most obvious yes after four years together!

They legally tied the knot at San Francisco City Hall in August. They celebrated with a few friends after the ceremony with dinner and drinks. It was the most romantic, calm, coolest day of their lives! They are elated that they get to do it all again - bigger and better - in December with all of you!
