Raleigh Durham airport (RDU) is the largest airport for the destination and is about a two hour and forty five minute drive to Emerald Isle. Coastal Carolina Regional Airport in New Bern is a smaller regional airport and is about an hour away from Emerald Isle. There is no public transportation between the airports and the beach, so car rental would be the option.
