Where are you getting married?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception venue is Maidenwood, located in Stockholm, Wisconsin. The address is N 447 244th St, Stockholm, WI 54769. (Google Maps shows the address as Stockholm, Apple Maps shows Maiden Rock, WI.) Maidenwood is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from the closest major airport, MSP. Please allow extra travel time for weather, navigating the gravel roads leading to our rural venue, and enjoying the fall color!

What's the schedule of the day?

Guests should arrive at Maidenwood on Friday, October 17th between 4:30-4:45 PM. The ceremony will begin at 5, and will be outdoors if weather permits. Dinner, dancing, and celebrating will occur indoors until the party wraps up around 10 PM. See shuttle question for shuttle schedule.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code is semi-formal/dressy casual. If weather permits, the ceremony will be outside; therefore, we strongly recommend shoes in which you can walk in grass.

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

Yes, AmericInn, Nichols Inn, and Super 8 in Red Wing, MN will have shuttles going to and from the venue. Pick-up from hotels is at 4:00pm, and shuttles will leave Maidenwood at 8:30pm and 10:00pm. You do not need to stay at the hotels to take the shuttle, but may need to find an alternate place to park if you are not a hotel guest. Ubers/Lyfts are not reliable in the area. Cars may be left in the wedding venue parking lot overnight and picked up by noon the next day; please plan for a safe ride home!

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot at the venue. Guests can leave their cars overnight, to be picked up by noon the next day (Saturday, October 18th).

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

You betcha! Please make use of the shuttle that will take guests to and from the 3 Red Wing hotel blocks and our venue, or otherwise plan for a safe ride home. Lyfts and Ubers are not reliable in this rural location. Feel free to leave your car at the venue overnight, to be picked up by noon the next day.

Is Katherine changing her last name?

Answer

Yes, and so is Garren! We are creating a new last name for ourselves, inspired by our original last names. This symbolizes the bringing together of our families and communities. Our new last name will be revealed at the ceremony!
