We're getting married!

Despite both growing up in Stuart and attending the same young adults group at church for almost a year, we never met until November 21st of 2024 at a volleyball group. Erik got there early to help set up, and Katherine showed up early for her first time checking out the group. We talked all night and when we said “bye it was really nice to meet you” another guy there exclaimed “What you just met? I thought you guys were childhood best friends or something.” Katherine called her mom right when she got in the car to tell her “I just met this guy Erik and wow I have never met anyone who I could talk and laugh with so easily.” We both not so coincidentally ended up at a rodeo a few nights later with the same church group, talked all night, started texting, and re-arranging our schedules to see each other almost every night at church pickleball, volleyball, and worship nights. By the time Erik asked me out a week later, it felt like he had waited an eternity. We spent two hours talking at sushi before realizing we forgot to order anything yet. And, well, we haven’t run out of things to talk about since!
