What to See
We hope that you will take the time to visit some of the sights around Lake Maggiore.
The resort itself features a 24 hectare park with gardens and walking trails. The hotel can arrange traditional or e-bikes for those who wish to explore a little further than their legs can take them.
Just up the road is the resort town of Stresa which features beautiful views of the lake and traditional architecture. It is a little over 20 minutes by car from the resort.
From Stresa you can take a short ferry ride or small private boat to visit the Borromean Islands with their wonderful gardens. The islands have been owned by the Borromeo family since the 16th century and have played host to Napoleon and Mussolini. You can see a short video about the islands and read about their history below.
If mountains are your thing you can visit the town of Mombello and take the two person cable car to view the lake from the top of the Italian Alps.
