Christine is Katie’s MOH and planner extraordinaire. She can be Katie’s voice of reason and brainstorming buddy. Katie can’t wait to have Christine by her side on her wedding day. Christine came into Jameses (Katies brother) life in the sweetest, most unexpected way. The Baumgarten Family + David, fell in love with her immediately for the spunky, laid-back, caring person she is, especially her ability to dish it back out to her lover, James. C & J bring out the best in one another. Thank you for loving James unconditionally. Christine is an avid echelon cycler, Dunkin’ Donuts go-er (as she calls it, DUNKS), shoe-lover (much like the bride), Katie’s manicure and hair appt. buddy, fellow Truly drinker, and the brains of the operation for Christine and Katies concert endeavors - Two of whom, should not be left unsupervised while attending said concerts. While Christine is not attending concerts, you can find her working as a Special Education Teacher who slays incredibly hard to better her classroom. Christine has the patience of a Saint - Dating Katie’s brother has been… patient haha jk. All jokes aside, J & C are truly meant to be together. They balance each other out perfectly. They are certainly the funniest couple D & K know, and love having them in their lives. Christine, the Bride & Groom are so grateful for your support. Thank you a million + 1, for all that you do for our family, for James, and for the world. You have so much love to give. You’re amazing!!!!!
Kate Lyons

Kate & Katie met while in nursing school back in 2015. They immediately *clicked* and have been besties ever since. They were roommates, and now, Kate will be standing by Katie’s side on her big day! Kate is a United States Air Force Veteran who served from 2009-2015. She’s a fellow introvert, who loves spending time with her German Shepard, Rowen, reading, gardening, and hiking when she’s not trying to save the world. Katie, David and Kate enjoy having deep conversations about the world, television series like Game of Thrones, and life in general. The bride and groom love Kate so much, and can’t imagine a life without her.
Morgan Pereira
Bridesmaid
Fun Fact: If Morgan would have turned down Katie’s offer to attend a bonfire over at David’s house the night Katie and David ‘hit-it-off’, this whole wedding thing probably wouldn’t be happening LOL. SOOOO…. BIG thanks to Morgan for being adventurous, for being the best wing women a girl could ask for, and for not telling Katie “No, I’m going to stay home” that late July 2016 night. Morgan is one of Katie’s longest friends, going on over a decade. Morgan holds such a special place in David and Katie’s heart. Katie is so happy to have Morgan be there to stand by her side on her big day! Morgan was gracious enough to help Katie with all of the professional wedding questions (as Morgan is very *in the know* all things photography related/wedding industry), manic brainstorming phases, and then some. Morgan is an amazing wife, mama of three-under-three, and the beautiful creator of our engagement photos. Morgan is the extremely talented business owner of Untamed Hearts Photo Co. Her company will be photographing Katie and David’s wedding. David and Katie could not be more proud to support their friends business throughout their wedding journey, and for the rest of their lives. We love you so much, Morgan!!!! Thank you for being you!!!
Ruth Martin

If Katie and Ruth aren’t laughing, they’re crying. Katie met Ruth in her college days down in Radford, VA. Arriving to clinical waaaaaaay to early, and a short elevator ride later, they became clinical partners as novice nursing students. They learned and grew so much together in and out of the hospital setting. Ruth became Katie’s rock even beyond her school days, and Katie as Ruths. They often talk about margarita nights together, share so many memories as a true one-of-a-kind friendship, and how lucky Ruth is to wake up to cows in her front yard every morning. Katie is so proud to call Ruth her best friend, the best clinical partner to ever exist, and now, a bridesmaid!
Johnny Marshall
Best Man
Johnny is the brother of the groom. Growing up with one another, they have gotten into some idiotic situations from disturbing a wasp nest to almost shooting a horse with a bow and arrow…ask one of us for those stories, you’ll sure get a laugh from them. Those kinds of situations are what helped Johnny and David become so close, even to this day. If one of us has a problem, they can go to one another, in order to work out a solution. At the end of the day, David wouldn’t pick anyone else on this earth to be his best man.
James Baumgarten
Groomsman
James is Katie’s first ever best friend and younger brother. When James first met David, he was a bit, stand-offish. After some time, James got to know David and now views him as a brother (even though David can kick his butt at basketball and Call of Duty). They are constantly making jokes to one another and mess with each other, just like brothers do. Katie and David bought a home July of 2022, a quarter mile from Christine and James, and have loved being their neighbors ever since. They frequently have dinner together, where they alternate who cooks, and often talk about kicking each others butt in Mario Kart. Nobody can beat David, the few times we’ve played together. They’re all coming for ya, Dave. Christine definitely has the best chance beating David -she doesn’t have “The Baumgarten Gene.” J &C (mostly James) joked about keeping their lights off, windows secured, and doors locked in case any…hmm WEIRDOS, moved into the neighborhood lol (David and Katie to this day, have no idea who they were referring too…). At the end of the day, Katie is lucky to have James as her brother and David is so proud to call James a brother. David is honored to have James stand next to him on his wedding day.
Zach Isbell
Groomsman
David met Zach during his dark days working at Amazon. During that time, David and Zach became close friends, where we would joke about being each others, “work husbands.” David and Zach bond over rooting for bad sports teams, taste in cars, and various technology. One day, David is hoping to get Zach to share in his taste of Scotch…even though Zach does not like the way Scotch tastes… Every time David and Zach get together it is always full of laughs, even if it is at each other’s expense (from one of us doing something stupid)! David is excited and proud to have Zach be one of his Groomsman and a great friend to share all of the laughs with.
