What airport should I fly into?

Answer

That depends on how you'd like to spend your time! JA has three main airports, Montego Bay, Kingston, and Ian Fleming. You're welcome to look at the schedule to see where Danny & I will be, and to join us on our journey, or for part of that time. The wedding is March 8th in the morning in Kingston, the night before we'll gather for a toast at the AC Hotel, and the rest of the trip is up to you! We recommend comparing fares from US to JA with whatever is posted on American Airlines as they have plenty of flights to and fro.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It will be warm in the city, and cool by the coast. Winter will be making its exit as Spring begins to open its eyes. Bring a light sweater for cooler evenings, and enjoy breathable fabrics like linen and cotton, to transition from day to night.

How do I get around in JA?

Answer

If you are comfortable driving on the left hand side of the road, rent a car! Avis has some great rates. If you are traveling from MoBay to Kingston, you can book a spot on the Knutsford Express Bus. Within Kingston: Ask a family member who lives there about public transportation. Definitely talk to other family members about shared personal transport. Taxis are available.

Where should I stay in Kingston?

Answer

We have travel recommendations in the Travel Section, and have established a deal with the AC Hotel. If you book a stay there between March 6 - 11th, you can have a room at $200/night. You have to book by September 12th to secure that rate. We are hoping to get that deal extended, and will update if we are granted permission.

Where are you staying in Montego Bay and in Port Antonio?

Answer

We're not sure yet! Top choices would be Half Moon Bay in MoBay, and a villa like Geejam or Goblin Hill in Port Antonio.
