Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite you to dress comfortably for our January wedding in Texas. For those not from Texas, you can expect highs around 60 with lows closer to 40 degrees. Heaters will be available at the venue and we will have blankets on hand should the Texas "winter" join our celebration. While the atmosphere will be relaxed, we encourage guests to opt for smart casual attire. Feel free to incorporate seasonal fabrics and colors. Layers are also a great idea, as Texas weather can be unpredictable. We want everyone to feel at ease while celebrating with us! Suggested: Slacks, Trousers, Skirts, or Khakis Button-downs, Polo, or Blouse Any variation of dresses, from sundress to cocktail dress to formal gowns No Go's: White Dresses (Kat gets a pass on that one) Wedding Colors: No color requirement, but please feel free to incorporate our wedding colors if you like! Not Sure? Reach out to Kat or Becca and we can help answer any questions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, we ask that you please indicate on your RSVP if you will be bringing a date. There is a limit on the number of attendees for the venue so to save our sanity and deposit no surprise +1s please. If you need to update your RSVP please let Kat or Becca know. Thank you!

Question

Will alcohol be available?

Answer

Yes, we will have beer and wine and you can BYOB anything you would prefer as well.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, little ones are welcome! There won't be any kid-specific activities outside of the yard games open to all, so we ask that you bring them some activities that will make sure they have fun with us. There is a wildflower field at the venue that the couple and guests are expressly prohibited from walking in. We got the policing of the adults covered, but ask that you keep an eye to make sure the little ones don't go into any prohibited parts of the venue.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We do not have any hotel blocks reserved, but we do have a few local accommodations included in the Travel section of our website. Driftwood and the surrounding hill country are beautiful and bring tourists throughout the year. Luckily we are getting married in January, which is an off-peak season for tourism in the area. We recommend checking out the AirBnBs available, there may be off-season pricing available, or a great chance to stay somewhere with the beautiful hill country views we love so much.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Parking is available at the venue, but can be limited so we recommend carpooling if possible. When you arrive at the venue you will drive down the gravel road and signage will indicate parking for the Bluebonnet Barn. (There will be another wedding at the Meadow Barn - do not crash their wedding by parking there! You want the Bluebonnet Barn)

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No.

Question

Are pets allowed?

Answer

Pets, outside of Medical Assistance/Service Animals, are not permitted. It will be a human-only event, but please tell your cat I said hi.

For all the days along the way
