Question

How soon do I need to book a hotel or house rental reservation?

Answer

We recommend booking as soon as possible. June is considered peak season on Martha's Vineyard and accommodations get reserved quickly. Most hotel rooms will become available in Fall 2021 and VRBO/Airbnb are currently available for booking.

Question

Where do you recommend to stay on the island?

Answer

We recommend booking accommodations in Edgartown. Our ceremony and reception will be held in central Edgartown, walking distance to all hotels & rentals. Otherwise, the towns of Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven are great options and a 15 minute Uber away from the venue.

Question

Do I need to bring a car?

Answer

If you plan to stay in the downtown areas of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, or Edgartown, you can arrive via ferry and get around without a car. All three downtowns offer safe, walkable streets as well as bike friendly roads. The towns are also easily connected by the Vineyard Transit Authority bus system, which services all Island towns and runs daily from early morning until late into the evening. Local cab companies as well as Uber and Lyft services are also available. Otherwise, if you've extended your trip and you'd like to explore the island, there are multiple car rental companies available. *Please note, if you wish to take your car via ferry you must book a trip on the Woods Hole Steamship Authority Ferry.
