His Story - It was 2015 & I was so excited to start my first Head Athletic Training job. I was also very single & excited to meet the new staff. Unfortunately I was interested in no one. Fast forward a few years I started talking to this teacher who was working as the clock manager every game. I looked forward to talking with her each day although she seemed disinterested in whatever I had to say. I guess my charm was hard to resist because I began to notice the smiles increasing each day. I decided to ask her out and thank god she said yes because that has become the single best decision of my life. Thankfully I got to spend time with her dad, Kevin, before he passed. He always made me feel so welcome & always had a cold Coors Lite for me. Kath is the definition of ride or die. She is selfless, funny, & smart. Her beautiful green eyes are impossible not to get sucked in to. There is nothing more I wanted in a person so I knew I needed to lock that up quick. Her Story - Back to school 2015, I was excited to meet the new Athletic Trainer. I was disappointed. Chris didn’t shut up, & worst of all he was a Dolphins fan! We barely talked over the next two years as we worked closely together as Coach and AT. 2018 Chris came back to school looking good. We started bonding over our love of "Friday Night Lights". Chris’ witty humor drew me in but I soon realized how sweet, caring (& emotional) he is. And those green eyes. He started coming to my softball practices to hit my players pop flies although he always said nobody hit them higher than his late dad, Hervey. Chris asked me out & we never looked back. I am forever grateful to have met Chris’s mom, the famous Nettie, before her passing. From then on Chris has been by my side & on my team no matter what. He makes me feel like the most special person in the world every single day & would do anything to make me smile. We got engaged in Damariscotta, Maine on the 4th of July alongside our other best (dog) friend, Coach.
