Katherine and Alex met in January of 2017. They both were out with friends at Club Rodeo, in Wichita, where they were introduced by a mutual friend. After they met, they spent the entirety of the night talking and dancing. At the end of the evening, they exchanged phone numbers. After that night, the two began talking everyday, and spending a lot of time together. After several months of seeing each other almost every day, Katherine and Alex decided to make it official and become a couple. By the time July 4th, 2018 came around, Alex decided he was ready to pop the question! With the help of family and friends Alex lined up the perfect proposal. July 4th is Katherine's favorite holiday. They spent the day on the lake, and came back to Alex's house in Beloit, Kansas to set off fireworks. As Katherine was fiddling with a firework, Alex had their song playing in the background as he asked her to marry him. She said "Yes!" and at that moment fireworks went off. They spent the last year and a half enjoying their time as an engaged couple and planning their wedding. On March 14th, 2020, they exchanged vows in front if parents and siblings, for a quiet and intimate wedding ceremony in Kansas City.
