Things To Do

Boston Common

Boston Common

139 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02111
, (617) 635-4505

Before we were engaged, and even before we were dating, we spent a lot of time walking through the Common and Garden together. Years later, it's still one of our favorite places in the city. If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon, take a walk through the park, enjoy the scenery, and visit one of Boston's most iconic landmarks. The bride also strongly recommends trying an arepa from one of the food carts if you get the chance.

The Wig Shop

The Wig Shop

27 Temple Place, Boston, MA 02111
, (617) 338-6333

Long before we were engaged, we spent many evenings here as friends. Some of our favorite early conversations happened over cocktails at Wig Shop. Because of that, this speakeasy will always have a special place in our story. Yes, it looks like a wig shop on the outside - you can't miss it!

Flight Club Boston

Flight Club Boston

60 Seaport Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210
, (617) 855-9888

One of our favorite date night spots! Flight club combines amazing food and cocktails with the fun of darts. The dartboards automatically keep score for you, so don't worry if you've never played darts before. Just pick a game, throw, and let the system do the rest. They take reservations up to 2 weeks in advance - highly recommend!

Genki Ya - Boston

Genki Ya - Boston

232 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02116
, (617) 338-8686

This is our go-to takeout spot when we can't decide what we're in the mood for. Katherine loves sushi, Aziz loves Chinese food, and Genki Ya has a menu that keeps us both happy. If you're dining in, we recommend requesting a table on the second floor.

Asta

Asta

47 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02115
, (617) 585-9575

After spending weeks watching MasterChef Korea together, we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day with a tasting menu at Asta, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The menu was delicious and surprisingly filling. For a tasting-menu experience, it's also one of the more affordable options in Boston. If you're looking for a memorable date night while visiting, we highly recommend checking this place out! Be sure to book a couple of weeks in advance; there are only a limited number of seats, and reservations fill up quickly.

Mike's Pastry

Mike's Pastry

300 Hanover Street, Boston, MA 02113
, (617) 742-3050

Our bakery of choice, hands down. Whenever we're celebrating something special, this is where we go. Mike's cannolis are famous for a reason. Their cakes and other pastries are fantastic, too. Don't be intimidated by the line. It moves quickly, and it's absolutely worth it.

Pressed Cafe

Pressed Cafe

49 Pier 4 Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210
, (617) 982-6370

Pressed Cafe is one of our go-to spots. Whether we're grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a snack between plans, it never disappoints. If you go to the Seaport location, Blue Bottle Coffee, one of Aziz's favorite coffee spots in the city, is right next door. Together, they make the perfect stop before a day of exploring Boston.

New England Aquarium

New England Aquarium

1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA 02110
, (617) 973-5206

The bride's favorite spot in the city! Whether you're traveling with family or just looking for something fun to do while you're in Boston, the aquarium is always worth a visit. From a giant ocean tank to penguins and seals, this aquarium has it all. Over the years, we've celebrated more than a few birthdays here and enjoyed many dates wandering through the exhibits together.

Middlesex Fells Reservation

Middlesex Fells Reservation

4 Woodland Road, Stoneham, MA 02180

If you're looking for the groom and he's not at home, he's probably here! When we need a break from the city, this is one of our favorite places to go. The Fells offers miles of trails, beautiful scenery, and a chance to enjoy New England's natural beauty just outside of Boston. If you're staying in the area for a few days and the weather is nice, it's well worth a visit. With both hiking trails and easy walking paths, there's something for every activity level.
