FAQs

Question

What are you doing to make this event safe and socially distant?

Answer

We are taking extensive measures to ensure this event is safe for everyone amidst COVID-19. At both the ceremony and reception, guests will be seated at recommended social distance and household relatives will be seated together. There will be no dancing other than Grant and Katharine and their parents. All vendors, including the caterer, will be following the CDC guidelines for their respective services and all attendees are asked to bring a mask. If you do not feel comfortable attending, please do not feel obligated.

Question

Will there be a wedding shower?

Answer

Yes! Since we had to cancel our wedding shower back in March, we were finally able to reschedule. Our new shower date is August 8 at the Myeerah Nature Reserve lodge. We received some questions as to what to do with any gifts that were purchased before we postponed the wedding - you can bring them to this shower if you would like but do not feel obligated to purchase any gifts for our new ceremony! Please contact Lisa Adams with any questions.

Question

Since this is an outdoor venue, is there a plan for inclement weather?

Answer

Yes! Although the venue is outside, it is specifically designed to be closed off from the elements in the event of undesirable conditions. There is also an indoor reception area that can be used.

Question

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

No. For both the ceremony and the reception, feel free to sit wherever you would like, but try to be seated with other relatives from your household.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony starts at 10:30am, but we ask that you arrive around 15 minutes prior to mingle and find your seat.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both take place at So Serene (address on Schedule page). Following the ceremony, you will be released to the reception area of the venue to mingle and enjoy the music while the wedding party gets pictures.

Question

When are the RSVPs due?

Answer

Please have your RSVPs with official headcount submitted by 8/30/2020.

Question

Are there travel accommodations nearby?

Answer

Yes! There are hotels available in both Bellefontaine and Lima.
