Conner and Katie met as their love for volleyball crossed paths. The pair would play beach volleyball together late into the night at the GCU campus courts. Shortly after they first met, they started dating 4.11.2018, and had their first official date at the state fair.

While visiting family in Oregon, the couple made a trip up the coast from Florence to Cannon Beach. On the special day, Conner and Katie had a special dinner at Newman's at 988. After dinner, the couple walked along the beach until Conner popped the question in front of Haystack Rock!
